After Someone Has Died
"I didn't realise that the death of my loved one would be so hard for me.
Is there any help available from my Parish Church?"
At St Mary's we try to care for those who grieve during the period after the death of a loved one. The churches in Harefield have a team of trained Bereavement Visitors. Whoever takes the funeral service will visit the next of kin if they live locally. At this visit you will be offered a bereavement visitor.
At any time, even if initially you say no to having a Bereavement Visitor, or if the funeral service was not taken by us, feel free to contact the vicar (see CONTACTS) and ask for a visitor.
After Bereavement Care
Every Thursday, from 10 to 11am, there is an open coffee morning where those who have lost loved ones can come and meet with others at Barden Court, Hall Drive, Harefield.
Book of Remembrance
It is always possible to commemorate someone who has died in the Book of Remembrance at St Mary's. Please ask the Vicar for a form. A small fee is payable for each entry.
